Middle school is a time for students to learn about careers and begin to think about what they would enjoy as a tentative future career. Eighth grade is a crucial time to begin tentative career planning as students initiate their high school academic plans and prepare for postsecondary goals.

On December 16th, all 8th grade students will attend the Wood County Career Fair at WVU-P. Representatives from local industries and businesses will talk with students about their careers. The following lessons are designed to help prepare these students not only for the 8th Grade Career Fair, but also for their career development toward successful career lives. Students have the opportunity to learn about themselves as they learn about careers.
